The browser you use partly determines how a site looks on your screen and how you can use the site. For Catawiki we support the following (most used) browsers: Firefox versions 2 and 3, Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7, Safari and Google Chrome. If you view the site with other browsers you may run into problems.
Maybe you can consider a switch? We can heartily recommend Firefox 3. Free, safe and works perfectly. You can download it here

I use chrome and when you edit something, choosing from the popup list does not work. As soon as you click on something, you will get a white field instead of the name you clicked on.

That check from the list doesn't work for me (Safari on an Apple Mac) either. Same problem: when clicked, the field is cleared.

For me it works fine in Safari on Mac. Apparently we have other versions of Safari or the operating system. Which one do you have?
