Many (mainly sealed) bags have an image on the back that, with some imagination, resembles the capital letter p.

Personally, I see more of a stylized figure that swings. The packager's answer would be a good solution to this little problem.

I don't think it matters what you see in it, as long as the description capital p or waving man means the same thing.

You miss the point again.

Whether it's a big P or a waving little man, if we put them all the same in the catalog you can find and sort them more easily. The big P has now been chosen, but if you want to enter the waving little man, you have to update all the big P's.

Just like wybertje with heart, well, all wybertjes have a heart, but use that we don't. For sorting options we use 'wybertje (telephone number which is on the back)' or 'wybertje (without telephone number)'. All other variations, start with wybertje and the selection list will open and choose the correct one.

I must have touched your toy again, given the tone of your letter.

Do me a favor and stop your childish nitpicking.

Hi Beije,

I don't quite understand what you mean by big P. Can you place a link to an example in the catalog?

Greetings Annemiek

When filling in what is on the back of the bag, you can choose from several options via the drop-down menu.

The best known are rondje and wybertje, with all kinds of additions.

The manufacturers later used other symbols such as a large P (resembles a waving man) from the Puttershoek company or a small P (ditto, but smaller) from the same company.

Take a look at the completion under the heading "back", you will automatically come across them.

Of course an image says a lot more and is it not that difficult to give a link?

So here is the link to the sugar bags with the Large P on the back.

And with my imagination I also see a swinging or saluting figure in. However, the bags came from Puttershoek and then a P does indeed seem more logical to me. And as Fazerco said, rules have to be set in order to be able to make a clear sorting. If at some point it is decided that it will be a waving or saluting little man, then all those bags must be adjusted in the CataWiki Catalog. That will happen, but only in that case and that is not the case.

Haha now I see which bags you mean! I always see a waving little man in it! :)

But a clear and unambiguous description seems useful to me. They are called zigzag bags on the sugarbag.nl site. It seems useful to me to join this description, so that the whole of NL is talking about the same type of bag.

I agree too! So let sugarzak.nl also call the bags sugar bags with the Big P and then we are all talking about the same bags! :)

CataWiki is an independent online Catalog and does not just copy data from other Catalogs.

I get that. I still advocate the name zigzag bags.

CSN is the largest group of sugar bag collectors in the Netherlands and I try to motivate them to participate in Catawiki. Then some things should not differ too much.

Unfortunately there are 2 variations, and CSN only has 1 (yet).

So this one:

Ps, if you want to change something, you better ask an administrator. They can do it in one go.

So far, for the sake of caution, have listed all "waving males" with or without legs as "big P" or "little P." Is there any objection to that?
