Goodendag,

My grandmother found a lot of old bonds when her aunt passed away.

Since we have no knowledge of this at all, I went to google but I get it not much of it.

I ended up on this website and I would like to know where I can go for more information about these papers.

I am from the Eindhoven area, can anyone tell me where and / if there is someone who is more knowledgeable about these papers in this area?

2) what's old?

First you have to find out if the companies of which the bonds are with a fixed term or whether they are perpetual (perpetual bond)

If they are perpetual and the company still exists you can cash :-).

Shares of existing companies (or companies that have been acquired / merged) are also worth a lot.

If the company is bankrupt or the bond has expired, there is still a collective value

Sometimes old stocks and perpetual bonds of surviving companies can be worth a lot of money. find out before you consider / sell it as a collector's item.

With bonds it is important what the maturity date is, which is usually stated in the text on the back. Often the bond can still be collected within thirty years after the maturity date.

If the company itself no longer exists, there may be a legal successor (for example, with acquired companies, the bond can then be collected from the acquiring party)

Beste User ??? U stel een vraag maar wij mogen niet weten wie u bent ? U kunt zelf eerst zoeken in de Catawiki catalogus of uw waardepapieren er in staan, zo niet kan u, net als ieder lid, deze invoeren met 3 foto 's en voor zover u zelf iets kan vertellen met een toelichting. Een waarde hoeft u er zelf niet aan toe te kennen. Dan kan een verzamelaar met kennis van deze materie u wellicht helpen.
