Goodendag,

My grandmother found a lot of old bonds when her aunt passed away.

Since we have no knowledge of this at all, I went to google but I get it not much of it.

I ended up on this website and I would like to know where I can go for more information about these papers.

I am from the Eindhoven area, can anyone tell me where and / if there is someone who is more knowledgeable about these papers in this area?

With kind regards,

Mark

1) what's a lot?

2) what's old?

First you have to find out if the companies of which the bonds are with a fixed term or whether they are perpetual (perpetual bond)

If they are perpetual and the company still exists you can cash :-).

Shares of existing companies (or companies that have been acquired / merged) are also worth a lot.

If the company is bankrupt or the bond has expired, there is still a collective value

Sometimes old stocks and perpetual bonds of surviving companies can be worth a lot of money. find out before you consider / sell it as a collector's item.

Dear, I have a stock magazine Ogem NV from 1973, "Proof for ten shares each ten guilders" (on the main sheet). In addition, two sheets with 39 denominations / coupons with the same description. As an expert, do you know what I can do with this. J. Hans Mauritz

With bonds it is important what the maturity date is, which is usually stated in the text on the back. Often the bond can still be collected within thirty years after the maturity date.

If the company itself no longer exists, there may be a legal successor (for example, with acquired companies, the bond can then be collected from the acquiring party)

Dear User ??? You ask a question but we are not allowed to know who you are? You can first search the Catawiki catalog to see if your securities are in it, if not, you can, just like every member, enter it with 3 photos and, if you can tell something yourself, with an explanation. You do not have to assign a value to it yourself. Then a collector with knowledge of this matter may be able to help you.

Sincerely

Harry Jansen

Just for the record: you have recently stopped getting a username from Catawiki. We are programming it in such a way that you are required to create a nickname for the collectors platform. We don't want profiles that start with 'user-' here. So it will be fine.

Dear Rob, I suspect that there are specialist sites on the internet, I just quickly saw:

http://www.oudefondsen.nl/voeding/koninklijke-scholten-honig-14-september-1973-725-after-end-convertible-bond-f-100000/

Perhaps you can also continue via such a link?

Anyway, have fun searching!

Harry J
