In 1946 the book Tom Puss Tales was published in Great Britain and by the The book was successfully reprinted several times. In 1949 kwam het ook in het
Nederlands uit onder de naam Tom Poes Vertellingen. In het album staan 7
geïllustreerde verhalen. Deze tekening is uit het laatste verhaal Het afscheidsfeest. In samenwerking tussen de Toonder Compagnie en uitgeverij Cliché, met certificaat, in een genummerde oplage van 100, bekrachtigd door Stichting Toonder Auteursrecht (STA).
Het betreft dus een nieuw geprint canvas schilderij.
