IJshockeyclub Smoke Eaters Geleen is opgericht in 1968. Bijnaam " de eeuwige tweede" . Tussen 1985 en 1995 waren ze zeven keer vice-kampioen en vijf keer verliezend bekerfinalist. De Eaters wonnen de Nederlandse beker in 1993 en 2010. In 2012 behaalde men de eerste Landstitel, door in de alles beslissende wedstrijd in en tegen HYS the Hague met 1-7 te winnen!
