Obv: tunny fish right, crescent and star above, and text "ILIPENSE" Rev: Grain ear within circle of dots. Ancient Ilipa is close to modern Seville, Spain. Site of the battle of Ilipa during which Scipio Africanus crushed the Carthaginian army in the Second Punic War (206 BCE), bringing the whole of Iberia under Roman control.
