Obv: Bust of Artemis-Tyche left. Rev: Facing bearded bust. Elymais, Elamais, or the more ancient name, Elam, was a semi-independent state from about 150 BCE to 230 CE, that was frequently a vassal under Parthian control. It was located at the head of the Persian Gulf in the present-day region of Khuzestan, Iran (Susiana).
