Mintage: 9,031 Number: 23 (of 60) This set is based on an actual set of historical medals - Sir Edward Thomason of England created a set of 60 large 78mm biblical medals in the early 1800's, based on paintings by the old masters. The Franklin Mint adapted these designs to 45mm medals, and selected new biblical quotations for the reverse. This set is seen more frequently in bronze - the silver version is rarer (mintage 2090). This is one of the earlier Franklin Mint sets.
