Half-length portrait to the right of Pieter Boel (1626-1674). In the background a cityscape. Below the print his name and two lines of text in French. Boel was a painter from the Antwerp School. He is best known for his still lifes. Boel was influenced by the work of Jan Fijt. Etching and engraving by Conrad Lauwers (1632 - c. 1685), after the painting by Erasmus II Quellinus (1607-1678). Made in Antwerp in 1662. Signed in print. Included as an illustration in: C. de Bie. "The golden Cabinet of the noble vry Schilder-const", Antwerp, 1662.
