Portrait bust to the left inside oval of Franciscus Raphelengius (1539-1597). Raphelengius was a scholar, book printer and bookseller. Since 1587 he was professor of Hebreews in Leiden. He was also the son-in-law of the famous printer and publisher Christoffel Plantijn. He managed his printing office in Leiden.
