Bust of Siwert Haverkamp (1684-1742) in an oval medallion held by a putto. The portrait rests on a column on which various books and a putto with a burning oil lamp in his hand. To the right a jar of coins lying on its side. On the column a cartouche with his name and details in six lines in Latin. Haverkamp was a classicist who published an edition of Flavius Josephus in 1726. Copper engraving and etching by Jacob Houbraken (1698-1780), after the painting by Frans van Mieris (1635-1681).
