Oval portrait bust of the German writer and poet Georg Philipp Harsdörffer (1607-1658). He was born in Nuremberg and studied law in Altdorf and Strasbourg. He traveled through the Netherlands, England, France and Italy. In 1644 he founded the Pegnitzschäfer together with Johann Klaj; a literary company in Nuremberg.
