Portrait bust to the right within oval of Frederick William II of Saxe-Altenburg (1603-1669). At the bottom are coat of arms and three lines in Latin with his functions and titles. Frederick William II was the youngest son of Duke Frederick William I of Saxe-Weimar and Anna Maria of Palatinate-Neuburg. In 1639 he succeeded his brother Johan Filips as Duke of Saxe-Altenburg. Etching and engraving by Cornelis Meyssens (c. 1640 - after 1673). Published in Antwerp by Joannes Meyssens (1612-1670), c. 1660. Signed in print. Cornelis Meyssens was the son of Joannes Meyssens.
