Someone in Shanghai has finally figured it out the value of old paper in China. They uncovered large caches of old undistributed advertising posters from Shanghai, buried away in cellars from the days just before WWII, 1935-1941, when Japan more or less ruled the coastal cities. Pair Belles was a well know Asian cigarette from the Karatzas Bros. This is from the period of Japan suzerainty when they were at war with most of China but the ports cities were open, late 1930s
