Details
Etching by Pierre Lombard, presumably after Francis Cleyn (ca.1582-1658) depicting the Trojans bringing in the Trojan Horse. This ruse allowed the Greeks to take the city. Supposedly published in London by Jacob Tonson in 1697 in "The Works of Virgil: Containing his Pastorals, Georgics, and Aeneid. Translated into English Verse; by Mr. Dryden. Adorn'd with a Hundred Sculptures." Signed at the bottom right in print.

Ets door Pierre Lombard, vermoedelijk naar Francis Cleyn (ca. 1582-1658) met voorstelling van het binnenhalen van het Paard van Troje door de Trojanen. Door deze list konden de Grieken de stad innemen.
Vermoedelijk uitgegeven te Londen door Jacob Tonson in 1697 in: "The Works of Virgil: Containing his Pastorals, Georgics, and Aeneis. Translated into English Verse; by Mr. Dryden. Adorn'd with a Hundred Sculptures." Gesigneerd rechts onderaan in druk.
