Original brush and ink editorial cartoon drawing on art card, 1917, published in the New York Sun, shows Kaiser Wilhelm holding the words of President Wilson who stated in his April 1917 address to Congress that America was going to war ‘not against the German people’, but against the German leaders and on behalf of the interests of humankind. Crown prince Wilhelm looks on. Card size 57 x 41 cm (22.5 x 14.25 inch), image size 44.5 x 28 cm, signed bottom right with printing instructions in bottom margin. In overall good condition.
