Oval portrait within a rectangular frame of Henri Daniël Guyot (1753-1828). Guyot was a minister of the Walloon congregation in Groningen. There he founded the first Institute for the Deaf in the Netherlands on April 14, 1790. In 1815 he became a professor at the University of Groningen.
