There are several variants of imitations known with ditto weight. Jansen / Janssen weigh 1.8 kg each! excluding the plinth and pillars. Around the late 1990s, the 1st counterfeit Tintin figurines were imported into the Netherlands, distributed through regular curio shops. The 1st series were still similar, presumably produced after the original Leblon images. Were not sold as original in the shops, also because there were no boxes or certificates. Omstreeks eind jaren '90 werden de 1ste namaak Kuifjebeeldjes in Nederland geïmporteerd, verspreid via reguliere curiosawinkels. De 1ste reeksen waren nog gelijkend, vermoedelijk geproduceerd naar de originele Leblonbeelden.
Werden niet als origineel in de winkels verkocht, ook omdat er geen doosjes of certificaten aanwezig waren.
