Details
Pioneer J11595 was lent to the company in April 1948, one of six similar coaches purchased between 1946 and 1948 to replace the pre-war fleet and the coaches comandeered during wartime occupation. J11595, like most of the Jersey OB Coaches, had a petrol engine and was duple bodied. It was used to carry countless visitors to the Island for over 19 years, before being scrapped. J8520 belonged to Jersey Motor Transpost Company Limited. Number 107 was the last coach to enter the J.M.T. Fleet. New to North Star Coaches of Stevenage, Herts, in 1948, it went to Jersey in February 1950. Part of the Scarlet Pimpernel Fleet of B. Griss until February 1957, in May 1964, it was transfered to JMT's newly established associates, Jersey Coach Transport. They traded under the name of Rover Tours. It was operated in this guise until 1969, before ending its days with the Jersey Outdoor Fifle Club.
