The Medal commemorates the 1842 Croton Reservoir and Aqueduct Completion. The above is a bronzed Copper material, and some have also been made in silver ($4,000) & white metal. Obv.: Aqueduct cross section, noting its dimensions and rate of discharge Rev.: Croton Reservoir (site now occupied by 42nd St New York Public Library), noting its dimensions and capacity
