Deep Ruby. Musky, herbal and herb-accented aromas of cherries and cassis, with a smoky nuance in the background. Wide and meaty upon entry, then more firmly in the Middle, with bitter cherry and dark berry flavors and firm structure. Gains sweetness with air and ends very long, with tough tannins and lingering anise and cherry notes. The vines are 50 years old on average, with 80% who are over 60 years old
The vineyards of Rasteau is located a few kilometres from "Les Dentelles de Montmirail". It is one of the most imposing of the French Department of the Vaucluse. It spreads out on Brown-calcareous substrates and poor soils on Marl.
