This wine was orange colored when drinking, but still contained all the power of an aging Rielsing that has been aged (stored) in a more than correct way. After all these years, the wine still had a pleasant sweet/sour balance and was a spectacular accompaniment to our starters (Mediterranean fish dishes). Served from the cellars of Haeberlin (Auberge de l'Ill, Illhausern, Alsace) in 1995. This was truly grand Elsass at its best! The bottle is still in our possession (Les Étoiles: wine holidays).
