Made in England by The Chad Valley Co. Ltd. The company once was one of England’s most important toy makers. Chad Valley has used its design for boxes, tiles, wind indicators and instruction booklets over and over for some thirty years. Box (225x153x92mm) is English. It is made of cardboard covered with thick red fake-croc paper The fixed lid features the two Chad Valley characters in silver. Behind the flap-front there are 5 drawers. One with five compartments for counters etc. Tiles (21x30x14mm) are English. They are made from wood. With on top pasted on CV-characters and graphics in 3 colors and on the backside dark paper. Dots and Bamboos are the simple version. Bamboo 1 features a crane. Counters are big (green, yellow, red and blue) colored disks of bone. Value 1000 points per person. Dice (2x) are made of bone and have Western points. Wind indicators (4x) are made from cardboard with glued on Chad Valley wind characters.
