Box (262x121x75mm) is of American origin. Made lacquered fake rosewood imprinted in gold with two (by now almost invisible) Pung Chow dragons. The low and rectangular box has an on the sides sloping lid attached with brass hinges. It closes with two brass clasps. The inside of the lid is covered with maroon bookbinders linen printed in gold with the diamond-shaped Pung Chow Trade Mark. Inside there are three compartments. One big one for the tiles and two narrow and elevated one for counters etc. Tiles (19x27x13mm) are made of wood. With on top a thin layer of celluloid with ivory pattern (French Ivory). They have rounded corners and have been imprinted, in red, green and blue, with the standard Pung Chow characters and images. Of the distinctive Pung Chow dragons the White dragon is silver. There belong no spare tiles to the set. Counters are made of white synthetic material (celluloid?) printed in red and blue with Western denomination. They are incomplete. Dice (2x) are made of bone with Western points. There belong no wind indicators to Pung Chow sets. Instruction manual is a Pung Chow publication(© 1923). The gray cover is embossed in gold with the Pung Chow dragon and info. The flower tiles depicted in the booklet differ from the set. There are also two Pung Chow score cards.
