Details
Box (277x142x80mm) is of American origin. Made of cardboard covered with dark green paper. High model with loose, full height lid. Printed in gold with the Piroxloid icon: the Chinaman-with-the-straw hat. The box has a fixed front flap. Inside there are four cardboard drawers for the tiles and one for the counters etc. Tiles (22x31x12mm) are made of wood. The top has been lacquered. They have been printed in red, green and blue. With the typical Piroxloid Bamboo 1, letters on the Dragons and flower tiles. There belong no spare tiles to the set. Counters are thin strips of shiny celluloid in in dark green, light blue, dark yellow and maroon. Colors and length indicate their value. Dice (2x) are made of French Ivory celluloid Western points. Wind indicators are made of white synthetic material. There container is made of thin celluloid with French Ivory pattern. With on its lid a N-wind character. Instruction manual is the standard Piroxloid booklet (© 1923) with the Chinaman-with-Hat on the cover. There is also a sticker with an explanation of the value of the counters.
