Box (243x165x165mm) is of Chinese origin. Made of fine rosewood or mahogany. The traditional box has two unusual handles and features on all sides a lot of shiny brass ornaments (some of which are replacements). The sliding front shows a brass plaque with two Chinese characters. Inside the 5 drawers are decorated with rather remarkable grips. Tiles (22x32x12mm) are made of a good quality, slightly shining bone and fine bamboo. In the right 50/50 proportion. The engraving is average. Bamboo 1 is different. Dots 1 features a capital A with a dot. There are 4 spare tiles. Counters are made of an average quality bone with Western denomination. Dice (4x) are made of bone with Chinese points. Their container is a Cricket box. Wind discs are made of black horn with white characters. Their container is a black horn Ming-box. Instruction manual is the red Babcock booklet, 10th edition, July 1923.
