Details
Box (175x123x121mm) is of Chinese origin. Made of lightweight, black lacquered (balsa?) wood. It is a standard but quite small 5 drawer model with a sliding front featuring golden characters flanked by two bats. The box has one handle with two support points but no copper corner ornaments.
Tiles (13x119x8mm) are Chinese. They are exceptional small. Made of clean bone and fine bamboo. The engraving however is regrettably simple. There are four spare tiles.
Counters are made of standard sized bone with Western denomination.
Dice (4x) are made of bone with Chinese points. They are rather small as is their container, a Cricket box.
Wind discs are made of black horn with white characters. Their container is a Ming cylinder also made of black horn with a green character on its lid.
The set lacks instruction manual.
