Bone & Bamboo 2. Traditional box of handsome wood inlaid with bone figures. Best set. Box (234x167x170mm) is of Chinese origin, is a standard 5 drawer version with a sliding front. Made of quality rosewood. Artfully inlaid - on sliding front, sides, top and drawer fronts - with figures of bone. De box has no copper corner ornaments. The drawers have little knobs of bone. Tiles (21x31x16mm) are either Chinese or Japanese. They are made of a very high quality, thick and matured bone combined with beautiful bamboo. In the right 50/50 ratio. The engraving is excellent and uses the elaborate version of Characters, Bamboos and Dots. Especially the seasons are absolutely beautiful. There are however no spare tiles. Counters are of polished bone and feature Chinese denomination. Dice (4x) are made of bone with Chinese points. Their container is a Cricket box. Wind discs are made of bone and combine green wind characters with red initials. Their container is a bone Ming cylinder. The set lacks an instruction manual. This set is Top Quality. The only negative aspect are the 4 missing spare tiles.
