Joop Geesink (1913-1984) was a film producer, cartoonist and illustrator. During the war he joined forces with Marten Toonder in the Toonder-Geesink studios. He made a lot of animation films. Later he and Toonder split up again. Geesink then mainly produced puppet films (e.g. Rick de Kikker and Loeki de Leeuw).
