The task of striking the 1926 halfpennies was evenly shared by the Melbourne Mint (1,914,400) and the Sydney Mint (1,992,000) before the latter ceased coin production permanently that year. At this stage, it is not thought possible to distinguish the Melbourne and Sydney strikes of this date.
