The S-type, or ‘Big Bedford’, made its debut at the 1950 London Commercial Vehicle Show were it was one of the main attractions. It could haul loads up to 7 tons, had full forward control and a new 4.9 litre engine. From 1953, Perkins R6 diesel engines were available for all ‘S’ Types and in 1957 the first Bedford diesel engine was introduced. The millionth Bedford commercial vehicle came off the line in 1958 - the ‘S’ Type contributing greatly to this achievement. Limited Edition 5.000 pcs. (with certificate)
