A latter day masterpiece from Corgi with opening bonnet, trunk & doors, dashboard sticker, seperate door panels, two-tone paint, double jeweled headlights, detailed grille, two-piece (chrome and black) detailed engine and, of course: the Golden Jacks take-off wheels that would cause it's downfall and early retirement. Times were changing fast - both Matchbox and Dinky were churning out models with 'easy-running' wheels, and the Golden Jacks-wheels were not only far from 'easy-running', they were also very expensive to produce. As a result, Corgi retired the old version very fast (some say as early as mid 1970, others 1971 and 1974) and replaced it with a new whizzwheels-version no.; 280 Versions available: white/blue-grey + silver/met. blue Retired: 1970, 1971 or 1974!
