The Hampshire Constabulary was on of the few forces that used the MKII Lotus Cortina for traffic patrol work. They employed thirteen Lotus’s altogether and this particular vehicle was stationed at Aldershot. According to Police legend, if you drove a Lotus Cortina through a bend too hard the doors would open due to the body flexing so much!
