The PSone is a smaller and slightly modified version of the original Playstation. It was released in 2000 at the same time the PS2 was released. Despite the competition of the PS2, it kept on selling well. One of the modifications was an improved piracy protection that made existing modchips obsolete. The PSone could be equiped with a LCD screen (eg. for use in cars).
