"In 1913 the stamps of New South Wales were superseded by those of Australia."
Stamp Duty (1865−1998)
The first stamp duty revenues were issued in 1865 portraying Queen Victoria. Until 1901, a number of sets were issued, all portraying Queen Victoria but with many different designs. In 1909 a new set portraying King Edward VII was issued, and numeral types were first issued in 1917. In 1929 a new set of numerals was issued, replacing the previous sets. This set continued in use until it was replaced by a new set in decimal currency in 1966. This set continued to be used until 1998. Stamp Duty revenues were sometimes overprinted for other taxes as well.

Translate to EnglishStamp Duty (NL: levies, or retribution) serves as a payment to the government for the use of services or products. Not for shipping.
such seals were then affixed to the specific documents (marriage certificate, deed of purchase of a property/real estate, etc.) as proof of payment.
In other words, it is a tax stamp (Tax stamp).
Looks like a postage stamp, but it's not.
In the past, it could sometimes happen that tax stamps were also used postally. Especially in the British Empire.
With an old stamp with 5 shillings on it, that chance is small.
"In 1913 the stamps of New South Wales were superseded by those of Australia." This tax stamp was clearly issued later, which makes the chance of postal use nil.

Men kan schrijven wat men wil.

Translate to EnglishOne can write whatever one wants.
Just like with this one.
It is clearly a tax stamp, you and az60 also wrote it.
But what happens is royally placed on the stamps.

Translate to EnglishThere has already been communication about this, with an explanation of the 'WRONG SECTION' procedure (has been applied to it).
The confusion arose because there were 2 other 'Tax stamps' as items in the stamp section (to which this procedure has already been applied).
For those who no longer know what to do when you see an item that belongs in another section: see the 'Frequently asked questions':
What if an item is in the wrong section?
You can view the 'Frequently asked questions' by clicking on the question mark at the top right.
There is a chick who deliberately does NOT apply the procedure, even after correction.
I can not help that. Every oriole sings according to its beak.
Anyone who stubbornly violates the applicable described procedures should be (temporarily) blocked (until insight comes into view) :)
With 'Wrong section' you may NEVER overwrite a completed field...

By the way: Je had er al aan toegevoegd dat hij in de verkeerde rubriek staat. Daar is het toch klaar mee als ik e.e.a. goed lees ??

By the way: You already added that it is in the wrong section. That's the end of it if I read it correctly??

Zo helpen we elkaar.

Translate to EnglishIndeed blauwhuis , it had already been handled and communicated. This way you learn something new every day. And that is very important. We do our best and always learn something new.
It wasn't a problem at all, and the why made sense. This is how we help each other. And who knows, you might soon be able to help someone with that knowledge. That is the real 'spirit' of a WiKi.
The other problem is a serious one (and it's completely separate from this). If an administrator corrects something from a user based on the agreements made, and within no time the same user puts it back as it was before. Despite the explanation... Then you get the back and forth.
The tip I always give is: occasionally look at the history of items (especially those that you have added yourself). The vast majority of the changes it contains are justified. And you can learn a lot from that. I also learn from it. Sometimes I also think to myself: 'Snap, of course it has to be this way... how did I come to the conclusion that I could do it so wrongly'. Snap is then of course against myself :)
Everyone is a jerk sometimes, there's nothing wrong with that. As long as we learn from it. Then there is progress.
And if there is something in it (in that history) that you have doubts about, you know who to ask for an explanation.
Even if it's from an administrator, it could still be wrong. Administrators are only human.
