Do you have links to obtain Davo magazines or others online as PDFs? Just found one for just about everything from the German Reich.
With this one it would be useful to be able to find others as well, given our extensive collection.
Greetings
Dave

Charles1971 I certainly understand your comment, but my bank account doesn't like Davo's prices if I had to buy all the books

Maybe it's a bit misrepresented daveM78 ?
Perhaps you mean: where can you find good pre-printed albums (in PDF or WORD format) that are free?
When we think of pre-printed albums, we immediately think of DAVO in the low countries. A bit like how we used the Kodak brand for a camera at the time.

Then I know a site . Unfortunately, it has not been updated in recent years. I suspect that the person behind it is no longer able to continue working on it.

A few years ago I tried to contact that person (Peekwee) through his (and another site), and never got an answer. Hence my fear of the worst.

But what's on it is fantastic. Beautiful sheets with images, which you can print to obtain a beautiful pre-print album (with clip strips on it).

Collectioneur Raoul62 Thank you for the site you mentioned. Did indeed mean beautiful proposed sheets in pdf or word so that I don't have to make them myself, which is of course always an option.
Was certainly not the intention to hack Davo or any other brand or something. But to have beautiful and affordable albums or binders instead of the regular stockbooks that are more for stock and duplicates.
Best regards
Dave

Raoul62 Yes definitely printer is running at full speed meanwhile first part of France and England have already arrived. Those pages and clip strips will make for nice folders.
Thank you for the link.

Here follows a description so that for a country of which you have quite a few stamps and for which you cannot find any pages, you can still make a nice self-made 'preprint' album yourself.

Pre-printed albums are not available for all countries (free in PDF or as pre-printed albums from brands such as DAVO or Lindner).
Sometimes they are available but almost priceless (Shaubeck).
Then you can make your own 'pre-print insert albums'.

Ingredients: an example page from a collection if available, the dimensions of the stamps you do and do not have, blank pages (regular printer paper), plastic insert sleeves/document folders, a binder or binder and clamping strips.

As far as the dimensions of the stamps on LD are neatly entered/added according to the guidelines (total size, perforation included) you already have a lot of useful information on LD to get started.
Sometimes an 'example' from a collection is hard to find. There is a world collector who makes it easy for you by making his entire collection available online, in magazines: Dr. Chen Chang.
This is his site . Usually up to about 2000. From 2001 you have to come up with it yourself.

With his collection as an example, it's a piece of cake. You can simply follow the settlement.
With only your own stamps, an overview of the existing stamps (to be found in a catalogue) and the appropriate dimensions, you can also get by. Then you have to be creative and inventive yourself to determine the arrangement.

First think about the arrangement on the sheets, then cut clamping strips (in this case black ones give the best results), and then stick them neatly on the sheet. Your stamps can go in there, and you can see from the 'black' spots what you don't have yet. Put the finished pages in the plastic document sleeves (2 per document sleeve with the back to each other), and those in the ring binder.
On the blank pages you can possibly put pieces of guideline with pencil to be able to apply the clamping strips in an orderly manner. Pencil can be easily removed afterwards with a good eraser.

You can also recover an old 'screw album' with content (pages). Even if there were stamps with stickers on them. After all, you can camouflage those adhesive residues with black clamping strips. And then you don't need plastic document folders.

So you don't always have to print pages to make a 'pre-print' album. Especially if your collection is fairly complete.
For less complete collections it is more convenient if you make real preprints (with frame and stamp image) sheets.

Raoul62 I use thicker paper myself, instead of printer paper and plastic covers. Usually the printer will also accept it.

Helv daveM78 Same here :). I make my own sheets for the (sub)areas that I want to collect in Microsoft Visio, in which you can design rectangles in certain dimensions. You can probably do that in other programs as well. I print this on thick and smooth paper (120grams I believe), that just wants to go into the printer. Then in crystal clear insert sleeves in folders. Gives you complete freedom in what you want to see on those sheets.

I can remember that there used to be software to make sheets yourself. Does anyone know if this is still there?

PZHMUDE yes they are still there. But it's how you want to put it together. The vast majority of print programs (standard) already provide an option instead of printing: 'print' as a PDF.
Of course that has limitations. There are also enough (also free) batch programs to convert images (or scans) into PDFs in a jiffy. (look for example on pdfill; pc; free version, small advertising is there, but works well). Of course div online options. If you want to generate beautiful online PDFs, as shops do, it soon becomes payment software ('flipbook').

Also very nice free pages for the Germany collector. Can be printed in all formats and beautifully illustrated, with an explanation of the period of the stamps.

A good recommendation indeed stefan1977 . I printed a sample copy and it looks Wunderbar. It's also nice that this site is in different languages. Now just find the stamps and you're done... Thanks for this link.
