Ik heb aardig wat oude Kluitmans gehad, echter nooit 1 met uitgeversreclame in de binnenkant van de omslag. Kan dit wellicht een exemplaar zijn geweest tbv boekenwinkels of komt dit meer voor ? Ik ben geen Kluitman expert, dus hoop dat iemand het weet.
I've had quite a few old Kluitmans, but never 1 with publisher's advertising in the inside of the cover. Could this perhaps have been a copy for bookstores or is this more common? I'm no Kluitman expert, so hope someone knows.
Zo'n softcover is op zich al zeldzaam genoeg, met een stofomslag kom je ze eigenlijk nooit tegen, zeker niet zo gaaf en al helemaal niet met een fondslijst.
De foto van omslag en boek heb ik niet goed gemaakt, lijkt net of de stofomslag kleiner is dan het boek, maar dat is niet zo. Boeken blijft leuk zo om af en toe tegen iets aan te lopen wat anders is... Ook weer zo n jeugdboek wat blijkbaar toentertijd populair was en binnen enkele jaren werd herdrukt met telkens een andere frontcover .. Er staan nu 7 stuks in de LC catalogus.
I didn't take the photo of cover and book correctly, it looks like the dust jacket is smaller than the book, but it isn't. Books are always nice to run into something that is different every now and then... Another youth book that was apparently popular at the time and was reprinted within a few years with a different front cover each time.. There are now 7 pieces in the LC catalog.
Hallo Harry, deze stofomslagen zijn niets bijzonders vooral de uitgaven tot en met 1925 hadden dit bijna allemaal een fondslijst aan de binnenkant van de stofomslag in die tijd waren er al alleen maar seriebanden van de meeste titels minimaal 10 verschillende seriebanden en die verschenen bijna allemaal op deze wijze zowel de gebrocheerde uitgaves (soft cover) als de hardcovers. In mijn verzameling heb ik er honderden van staan.
Hello Harry, these dust jackets are nothing special especially the editions up to and including 1925, almost all of these had a back list on the inside of the dust jacket at that time there were only series bindings of most titles at least 10 different serial bindings and almost all of them appeared on in this way both the paperback editions (soft cover) and the hardcovers. I have hundreds of them in my collection.
