I would like to know who is the collector of the books of my father Constant Butner. I really like that his books are collected . He has written more than 30 of them. So you don't have them all yet
Vrgr Jenneke Butner

Welcome to the collector site LastDodo.
First take a look around the site and the forum.
If you click on someone's name, you will arrive in his profile and then you can send that person a PM (personal message).

If you have a nice and suitable photo of your father, you can send me a PM, then you will receive my email address, where you can send that photo can send.

As a non-connoisseur of books, but as a collector who is always interested in discovering new things (also in other sections), I have a question.

If I find the item #609087 in detail on the screen. What should I click on to get an overview of 5 of the same 'series' at once?
With stamps you can do this via the 'Issuance' field. What's the trick with books?

I see eg #7997463 and #8174615, which certainly belong to the same series (same book, different publication years), but how do I find out if there are others in the same series?

Good observation.
That should be possible via the Book series.
But with Books this is not always used/filled in, which is why you automatically see the Miscellaneous book series appear.

{Edit] In this case a Series/Hero has been entered: Harry and Joshua, which also forms a series.

With both of these you can click on Original title, then you have them too
But I'm not sure which five you mean.

I had also clicked on the 'Series name' first, and I was shocked that the series had already been completed so far in such a short time (from 5 to 213.459).
Via Helden succeeds in this case well. Unless the Heroes are also listed in an edition of another series (a Youth Book Series, for example ...).
In the other book, there is no such hero. Clicking on the title displays the books with the same title . If the series (coincidentally) consists of one book, then it is correct. But I don't think that's always the case ...
No, there probably won't be a magic trick.

The simple is on Original title
Take e.g. the writer Jack Vance, and take e.g. this #199387 click on Original title and you have them in all languages together.

The vast majority of books do not appear under a certain series name, even if they look similar because they are published by the same publisher or are by the same author.
In children's and youth books it is relatively more common that they about the same main characters ("heroes"), but even there not nearly as often as, for example, with Comics.

Back on topic:
There is virtually no biographical information about C. Butner online. only the weblog of the Brabant Collection gives a nice overview of his life;
Surinamese youth novels by C. Butner.
Perhaps a background page can be distilled from this.
