I saw that there are two actors who go by the name Colin Farrell. One, born in 1938, starred in movies like A Bridge Too Far and Gandhi, the other, born in 1976, had his first movie in 1995. Now the films of both actors, whose names are also written in the same way, are in the catalog under that name, which can cause confusion for collectors.

Then it is best to change the older actor to:
  • Farrell, Colin (1938)

When that's done, let me know here and I'll change the other actor to:
  • Farrel, Colin (1976)

WZHH?

So block brackets? Or is that also wrong in the header?

Edit: Yes, that also goes wrong here: The [Poe] Black Cat. :-(

Correct there is an error with the "name fields" with the format Last Name, First Name. That is reversed by the system to make it easy to read in the header. However, if there is something in that name with brackets in there, it will be placed before the Last Name.
In other fields (ranges, types, etc) it is fine to use brackets.

But it can also be Farrell, Colin (GBR) and Farrell, Colin (IRL) .

That's possible, but I don't know which is more recognizable, the years or the ISO code of the country.

No idea. Doesn't really matter to me as long as it's not used interchangeably.
I don't think there are actors with the same birth year of the same name (then one of the two will change its name), but perhaps with the same country of birth.

I see that there are also actors with ( I) or (II) after their name.
Is the Film section actively managed by someone who cares?

Collectioneur So you assume that Comics - Serie/Hero is also a person's name (because it goes wrong). As I wrote in another thread, I'm almost certain that this is the result of a recent change and that this technically needs to be solved again.
Off-topic : And so I don't think by changing the manuals and ban the years in brackets. This was once consciously chosen.

Collectioneur The older Colin Farrell's name has been changed to Collin Farrel (1938), as you indicated. I personally find an addition of the year of birth more useful than the country of birth, but as said before, it is more important that the distinction is there. The older Colin (from 1938) is still acting, most recently (2022) in the series After Life by Ricky Gervais.
