Berma is a publisher / printing company of maps issued around the 1930s. This publisher can be found on the postcards of Adolf Ganzert. Who knows in which country this publisher / printing company was located?

The Berma postcards, which can be found on the internet, all have Dutch subjects. Gantzert is a Dutch artist. It is very likely that Berma is a Dutch company.

Hello Vertigo,

Thanks for this information.
This information helps me compile an overview of what I am creating. Do see IMPORT on the back of the cards. So I had assumed that this publisher / printer might well be foreign.

One possibility is that the postcards were printed abroad on behalf of the Dutch publisher.

A trading company Berma was established in Amsterdam. That could be the company we are looking for. If that's correct, then postcards weren't the only trade item.

Sorry, I missed that there are also AvS cards in the catalogue.

Well, who is AvS? It could be the artist Agnes van Stolk (1898-1980), but I have not yet found any conclusive evidence.

With Berma it doesn't help us much except that the AvS cards look very Dutch. This makes it plausible that Berma is indeed a Dutch company.

I had seen that too. The info doesn't rule her out, but it's not the conclusive evidence I was hoping for.
