Deze informatie helpt mij bij het samenstellen voor een overzicht wat ik aan het maken ben. Zie wel vaak op de achterzijde van de kaarten IMPORT staan. Dus was ik er van uitgegaan dat deze uitgever/drukkerij misschien wel buitenlands kon zijn.

This information helps me compile an overview of what I am creating. Do see IMPORT on the back of the cards. So I had assumed that this publisher / printer might well be foreign.
Een mogelijkheid is dat de ansichtkaarten in het buitenland gedrukt werden in opdracht van de Nederlandse uitgeverij.
In Amsterdam was een Handelsonderneming Berma gevestigd. Dat zou het bedrijf kunnen zijn dat we zoeken. Als dat juist is, dan waren ansichtkaarten vast niet het enige artikel waarin gehandeld werd.
One possibility is that the postcards were printed abroad on behalf of the Dutch publisher.
A trading company Berma was established in Amsterdam. That could be the company we are looking for. If that's correct, then postcards weren't the only trade item.

Tja, wie is AvS? Het zou de kunstenares Agnes van Stolk (1898-1980) kunnen zijn, maar ik heb nog geen sluitend bewijs gevonden.
Met Berma helpt het ons niet veel verder behalve dan dat de kaarten van AvS er wel heel Hollands uitzien. Dat maakt het aannemelijk dat Berma inderdaad een Nederlandse bedrijf is.

Well, who is AvS? It could be the artist Agnes van Stolk (1898-1980), but I have not yet found any conclusive evidence.
With Berma it doesn't help us much except that the AvS cards look very Dutch. This makes it plausible that Berma is indeed a Dutch company.
