Isn't it actually a separate feature? Or should all vinyl variants also be recorded with a picture in front of it? I think there are picture 78 rpm records ...

I see it more as a special release! and a correct scan would make it visually recognizable, often it is already recognizable through the cover.
And they are usually already listed separately in the catalog.

What matters to me is that such things are collected a lot, but that it cannot be used as a search criterion, which I think is a shortcoming.

I assume if there is a need that simple, there is a solution for this.

You can put it on (series) picture disc? not the most attractive solution but you can see it as a series.
