Securities/How to conserve securities2 messages

Beste lezer,

Ben op zoek naar een klein stukje advies over conservering van oude waardevolle documenten.

Ben in het bezit van een aantal oude documenten uit o.a. 1800.

Deze bestaan uit wisselbrieven, briefpapier en soortgelijke stukken.

Nu ben ik van plan om deze te conserveren omdat ze anders verkleuren of onder invloed van vocht verslechteren.

Daarbij zit ik te denken om ze vacuüm trekken of alleen in zuurvrije enveloppen te stoppen.

Of moet ik het misschien beide doen (zuurvrije enveloppe en dan vacuumtrekken in plastic tegen vocht/licht)?

Hopelijk kunt u me helpen aangezien ik niets kan vinden op internet wat de beste manier is.

Dear reader,

Am looking for a little piece of advice on conservation of old valuable documents.

I am in possession of a number of old documents from 1800, among others.

These consist of bills of exchange, stationery and similar items.

Now I plan to preserve these because otherwise they will discolor or deteriorate under the influence of moisture.

I'm thinking about vacuuming them or just putting them in acid-free envelopes.

Or should I do both (acid-free envelope and then vacuum seal in plastic against moisture/light)?

Hopefully you can help me as I can't find anything on the internet which is the best way.
