Hello fellow tin collectors.

Who can tell me where this tin comes from. Catalog number by title.

I have a can that cannot be found on any museums, can collection websites, ebay of any country, or other websites related to old canisters. What I think is a very special tin and it seems to me to be the early 20th century.

So in principle I think it is a very rare tin.

I would like to hear from you if you know anything.

Hello Collection,

I just edited your description. It's about 1 can right?

The title is the first thing a collector looks for, so it should be as clear as possible. In the description you describe the details of the can.

Is there no brand or other mark on the bottom or the inside? In this way, the can is very difficult to recognize.

How do you know the tin is from 1900? Did the CataWiki system do that or did you estimate it yourself? If it is estimated, you may enter the year, but please state in the description that the year is estimated.

Furthermore, comments about the rarity or personal comments that you couldn't find it yourself will be deleted immediately if they are seen.

Unfortunately I can't tell you anything about it either. I think, but that's a guess, that's an English look. But it can also be a Belgian view, given the relationship with the African continent.

As for the value, I have to disappoint you now, I think, because the condition of the tin is not too good, it seems. That makes a tin worth a lot less for a collector, no matter how old it is.

I hope other collectors can help you. The title of your forum topic is just a bit unfortunate. Due to the many diverse contributions to the forum, CataWiki users often only read the titles to see if they can help someone. A better title would have been: Does anyone know anything more about this tin?

Good luck with your search and of course have fun on CataWiki, because together we are building a complete and complete CataWiki Catalog.

Kind regards,

DisneyMeentwijck, administrator CataWiki Catalog Tins & Drums
