Collectioneur Meints1981 Een opmerking betreffende Sweeney Todd (# 925993 en #912505) :
Dit lijkt op het eerste oog een dubbele vermelding. Beiden versies hebben dezelfde hoes en hetzelfde ISBN nummer. En beiden zijn vermeld als steel book. Toch vermoed ik dat één van de twee een gewone uitvoering is (in Standaard-Amaray doos). De scan van de cover geeft een kleine aanwijzing. Bij #912505 is in de linkerbenedenhoek duidelijk een kleine ronding te zien, zoals je bij een steelbook kunt verwachten. Bij de scan van #925993 is deze ronding niet te zien. Ik heb zelf beide versies (Standaard Amaray én steelbox) en weet daardoor ook dat EAN nummer bij beide uitgaven gelijk is. Ik heb beide achterkanten naast elkaar gelegd, maar kan geen enkel verschil ontdekken, op de ronding na. Het lijkt mij logisch dat dan #925993 veranderd wordt in standaard Amaray (met daarbij het risico dat sommige verzamelaars ineens een andere versie in bezit hebben). Of moeten deze twee dan samengevoegd worden en de standaard amaray (opnieuw) toegevoegd worden?

At first glance, this appears to be a double entry. Both versions have the same cover and the same ISBN number. And both are listed as steel book. Still, I suspect that one of the two is a regular version (in Standard-Amaray box). The scan of the cover gives a small clue. #912505 clearly shows a small curve in the lower left corner, as you would expect from a steelbook. The scan of #925993 does not show this curve. I own both versions (Standard Amaray and steelbox) and therefore know that the EAN number is the same for both editions. I've put both backs side by side but can't spot any difference except for the curve. It seems logical to me that #925993 is then changed to standard Amaray (with the risk that some collectors suddenly have a different version). Or should these two be merged and the default amaray added (again)?

Moet je teleurstellen Mark , de afbeeldingen zijn niet vergelijkbaar ivm 'cropping'  #925993 is kleiner gesneden ( hoek kraag is kleiner : stiknaad 1 = snijpunt, de andere ligt er stuk beneden(onder de 2e naad)).

Must disappoint you Mark , the images are not comparable because of 'cropping' #925993 is cut smaller (corner collar is smaller : stitched seam 1 = cutting point, the other is a bit below (below the 2nd seam)).

Leike-w Goed dat je meekijkt. Ik zie inderdaad dat de hoek van de kraag kleiner is. Dus heb ik even mijn eigen exemplaren gepakt. En wat blijkt? Bij de standaard Amaray versie is de hoek van de kraag inderdaad kleiner, terwijl bij de steelbook versie de hoes inderdaad iets meer van de jas laat zien. Dit bevestigt dus mijn oorspronkelijke gedachte dat #925993 inderdaad de standaard Amaray versie is, waarbij per abuis de verkeerde aanduiding steelbook is gemaakt... En inderdaad, als ik bij deze versie naar de historie kijk, zie ik dat op een gegeven moment de aanduiding standaard Amaray is gewijzigd in steel book...en ook dat ik zelf degene ben die dit dus verkeerd veranderd heeft (shame on me)

Leike-w Thank you for watching. I do see that the angle of the collar is smaller. So I grabbed my own copies. And guess what? With the standard Amaray version the angle of the collar is indeed smaller, while with the steelbook version the cover does show a little more of the jacket. So this confirms my original idea that #925993 is indeed the standard Amaray version, where the wrong designation steelbook was made by mistake... And indeed, when I look at the history with this version, I see that at some point the designation default Amaray has been changed to steel book...and also that I myself am the one who changed this wrong (shame on me)

Leike-w Dit bevestigt eigenlijk wat ik al eerder zei... De standaard Amaray versie heeft bij mij idd 6 regels, de steelbook versie 5. En aangezien ik zelf ooit de standaard amaray gewijzigd heb naar steelbook, denk ik echt dat ik dit verkeerd gedaan heb (had op het moment van wijzigen de standaard amaray ook niet in bezit. De vraag is dus niet meer of de twee versies identiek zijn, dat zijn ze namelijk niet, maar eerder of #925993 terecht is veranderd door mij van amaray naar steelbook (zie ook historie(. En aanegezien ik op het moment van wijzigen beide versies nog niet in bezit had, denk ik dat ik hier een fout gemaakt heb.

Leike-w This actually confirms what I said before... The default Amaray version has 6 lines for me, the steelbook version 5. And since I once changed the default amaray to steelbook, I really think that I did this wrong (didn't have the standard amaray at the time of change either. So the question is no longer whether the two versions are identical, because they are not, but rather whether #925993 was rightfully changed by me from amaray to steelbook (see also history(. And since I didn't own both versions at the time of change, I think I made a mistake here.

Leike-w ik zou de scans van beiden kunnen maken. Ik snijd ze zelf precies op de rand af. Maar inderdaad zou dat discussie kunnen oproepen. Zoals ze er nu in staan, komt de versie met het hogere snijpunt overeen met de standaard amaray, en de versie met het lagere snijpunt met de steelbook. Ik denk echt dat ik het per ongeluk verkeerd gewijzigd heb, in de war gebracht door het identieke EAN nummer. Ook de andere details (5 regels/6regels naast de barcode) kloppen dan.

Leike-w I could do the scans of both. I cut them right on the edge myself. However, that could indeed provoke discussion. As they stand now, the higher-intercept version corresponds to the standard amaray, and the lower-intersection version corresponds to the steelbook. I really think I accidentally changed it wrong, confused by the identical EAN number. The other details (5 lines/6 lines next to the barcode) are also correct.

Mark het zijn maar tips hoor. Aangezien je de amaray doos hebt, en de informatie (imo vooral het  regel aantal) gewoon ten goede veranderen dan. Mocht een beheerder het er niet mee eens zijn, dan wordt dat wel  ( in tijd)  opgemerkt. Hoe nauwkeuriger de informatie, hoe beter het is (ook voor een ander).

Mark They're just tips though. Since you have the amaray box, and the information (imo especially the line number) just change for the better. If an administrator does not agree, it will be noticed (in time). The more accurate the information, the better it is (also for someone else).

Volgens mij zijn 916327 en 2003735 exact hetzelfde. Een claimt dat de drager uit 2008 is, maar dat kan ik op de foto nergens terugzien...

I think 916327 and 2003735 are exactly the same. One claims that the carrier is from 2008, but I can't see that anywhere in the photo...
