Bij het 'foute' item wijzig je de titel naar Doublure van XXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXX staat dan voor het LD-nummer dat behouden blijft.
Hier dus: Doublure van #10098801.
En dit wordt toegepast in alle 73 rubrieken.
Ook als het gaat om 2 of meer rubrieken.

For the 'wrong ' item, change the title to Duplicate of XXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXX then represents the LD number that is retained.
So here: Duplicate of #10098801 .
And this is applied in all 73 categories.
Even if it concerns 2 or more categories. 

Ik heb een fout gemaakt. Ik heb Blancmange - Don't Tell Me LD10290905 ingevoerd. Dat item stond er al met nummer LD10109801.Ik weet niet hoe je die samen kan voegen. Of is er iemand anders die dat kan doen?

Duidelijk verhaal. Ik dacht alleen te zien dat hier foto's werden gebruikt die gewoon van het internet af werden gehaald. Dat zou het iets makkelijker maken. Vooral bij de informatie van een artiest. Maar dan beperkt ik mijzelf ook tot zelf genomen foto's.

Clear story. I just thought I saw that photos were used here that were simply taken from the internet. That would make it a little easier. Especially with information from an artist. But then I also limit myself to photos I took myself.

Verwijs je naar het gebruik van portretfoto's bij de artiesten?

Dat is een wat grijs gebied, want ook daarop kan inderdaad copyright rusten. De gebruiker die zulke (van andere websities gekopieerde) foto's in catalogus plaatst is formeel gezien in overtreding, tenzij het aantoonbaar rechtenvrije afbeeldingen zijn.

Wat mij betreft zou het de voorkeur hebben om alleen portretfoto's te gebruiken die staan afgebeeld op items (platenhoezen of promotiefoto's) die al in de catalogus staan. Daarbij kun je er redelijkerwijs van uitgaan dat de maker van de foto geen bezwaar zal hebben.

(Het zou er trouwens al een stuk minder schimmig uitzien als de bron netjes bij de foto vermeld werd.)

De verplichting om eigen foto's of scans te maken van de items in de catalogus is vooral bedoeld om specifieke voorwerpen correct te kunnen identificeren. Copyright is hier minder een probleem, omdat dit meestal onder "fair use" of citaatrecht valt. Dat is niet het geval als je plaatjes alleen gebruikt als illustratie ter "verfraaiing" van je website.

Maar of dit een probleem is dat strenger gereguleerd moet worden, is iets wat de eigenaren van LastDodo moeten bepalen.

Are you referring to the artists' use of portrait photographs?

That is a somewhat gray area, because it can indeed also be subject to copyright. The user who places such photos (copied from other websites) in a catalog is formally in violation, unless they are demonstrably royalty-free images.

As far as I'm concerned, it would be preferable to only use portrait photos that are depicted on items (record covers or promotional photos) that are already in the catalog. You can reasonably assume that the maker of the photo will have no objections.

(By the way, it would look a lot less shady if the source were properly mentioned with the photo.)

The obligation to take your own photos or scans of the items in the catalog is mainly intended to correctly identify specific objects. Copyright is less of an issue here, as it usually falls under "fair use" or citation rights. This is not the case if you only use images as illustrations to "beautify" your website.

But whether this is an issue that should be more strictly regulated is something for LastDodo's owners to determine.

We mochten toch alleen zelf gemaakte foto's plaatsen? In verband met copyright enzo. Want ik zit regelmatig te prutsen om foto's van LP hoezen te fotograferen. Het is uiteraard veel makkelijker om een foto uit het internet te downloaden.

We were only allowed to post photos we took ourselves, right? Due to copyright and such. Because I regularly struggle to take photos of LP covers. It is of course much easier to download a photo from the internet.

Hahaha, beetje suf van mij, dat ik niet in de gaten heb dat LD voor Last Dodo staat.
Maar goed, Ik heb al tientallen malen hiermee te maken gehad, De laatste twee waren:
LD nummer 9152 Steve Hackett - Defector . Daar kon Ik  ℗ niet invoeren en heb ik p gebruikt.
LD nummer 10267801 Hoodoo Gurus - Blow Your Cool. Daar kon ik ▽ niet invoeren en heb ik - gebruikt.

Anyway, I've had to deal with this dozens of times, the last two were:
LD number 9152 Steve Hackett - Defector . There I couldn't enter ℗ and I used p.
LD number 10267801 Hoodoo Gurus - Blow Your Cool. There I could not enter ▽ and I used -.

LastDodo nummer, met daarachter het nummer.

Ik heb geen idee wat LD-nummers zijn. Maar ik kopieer en plak die tekens altijd. Misschien is dat het probleem. Wel vreemd want hierboven in het forum kon ik ze wel plakken.

I have no idea what LD numbers are. But I always copy and paste those characters. Maybe that's the problem. That's strange because I was able to paste them above in the forum.

Ik zit met een probleem bij het invoeren van matrix nummers. Regelmatig staan daar tekens in die last dodo niet herkent, Bijvoorbeeld ▽ of ℗. Ik vervang ze dan door tekens die daar een beetje op lijken maar helemaal juist is dit niet. Is dit op één of andere manier op te lossen?

I am having a problem entering matrix numbers. There are often characters in there that last dodo does not recognize, for example ▽ or ℗. I then replace them with characters that look a bit like them, but this is not entirely correct. Can this be solved somehow?
