Georges Washington: homme d’état, chef d’état-major de l’Armée continentale et premier président des Etats-Unis.
Nathanael Greene: major-général de l'Armée continentale lors de la guerre d'indépendance des États-Unis. Lorsque la guerre débute, il est un simple soldat de la milice de la colonie de Rhode Island, à l'issue de la guerre, il a la réputation d'être, comme George Washington, l'un des officiers américains les plus fiables et les plus doués.
Mount Vernon: Plantation dans laquelle résidait George Washington dans l'État de Virginie. Situé sur les bords du fleuve Potomac à quelques minutes au sud de Washington DC, près de la communauté de Mount Vernon, ce domaine est aujourd'hui ouvert au public toute l'année.

Georges Washington: statesman, chief of staff of the Continental Army and first president of the United States.
Nathanael Greene: Major-General of the Continental Army during the American War of Independence. When the war began, he was a private in the militia of the colony of Rhode Island, after the war, he had the reputation of being, like George Washington, one of the most reliable and gifted American officers.
Mount Vernon: Plantation where George Washington lived in Virginia. Located on the banks of the Potomac River just minutes south of Washington DC, near the community of Mount Vernon, this estate is now open to the public all year round.

Andrew Jackson: major-général de l’armée, homme d’état et septième président des Etats-Unis.
Winfield Scott : général américain, diplomate et candidat à la présidence des États-Unis. En 1838, il organise à la demande du président Martin Van Buren la déportation de la nation des Cherokees à l'ouest du Mississippi.
L’Hermitage : Musée historique situé dans le comté de Davidson, Tennessee, États-Unis, à 10 miles (16 km) à l’est du centre-ville de Nashville. Le site de 1000 acres (400 ha) appartenait à Andrew Jackson, de 1804 jusqu’à sa mort à l’Ermitage en 1845. Il sert également de lieu de repos final.

Winfield Scott: American general, diplomat and presidential candidate. In 1838, at the request of President Martin Van Buren, he organized the deportation of the Cherokee Nation west of the Mississippi.
The Hermitage: Historic museum located in Davidson County, Tennessee, USA, 10 miles (16 km) east of downtown Nashville. The 1000 acre (400 ha) site belonged to Andrew Jackson, from 1804 until his death at the Hermitage in 1845. It also serves as a final resting place.

F – William T. Sherman, Ulysses S. Grant et Philip H. Sheridan
William T. Sherman: militaire, homme d'affaires, enseignant et écrivain américain. Il sert en tant que général de l'Armée de l'Union lors de la guerre de Sécession, où ses talents d'officier et de stratège sont reconnus. Cependant, il est aussi très critiqué pour la dureté de sa politique de la terre brûlée et la guerre totale qu'il mène contre les États confédérés.
Ulysses S. Grant : homme d'État américain, 18e président des États-Unis, également largement connu pour avoir commandé les armées unionistes durant la guerre de Sécession. Après une brillante carrière militaire, il fut élu président en 1868. Sa présidence fut marquée par ses tentatives visant à intégrer davantage les anciens États confédérés dans l'Union, à éliminer les vestiges du nationalisme sudiste et à protéger les droits des Afro-Américains. La fin de son mandat fut néanmoins ternie par les dissensions du Parti républicain, la panique bancaire de 1873 et la corruption de son administration.
Philip H. Sheridan : général américain dans la guerre de Sécession. Diplômé de l’Académie militaire de West Point en 1853 et a participé à des escarmouches avec des Indiens en Californie et en Oregon.

William T. Sherman: American military, businessman, teacher and writer. He served as a general in the Union Army during the Civil War, where his talents as an officer and strategist were recognized. However, he was also highly criticized for the harshness of his scorched earth policy and the total war he waged against the Confederate states.
Ulysses S. Grant: American statesman, 18th President of the United States, also widely known for having commanded the Unionist armies during the Civil War. After a distinguished military career, he was elected president in 1868. His presidency was marked by attempts to further integrate the former Confederate states into the Union, eliminate the remnants of Southern nationalism, and protect the rights of African Americans. The end of his term, however, was marred by Republican Party dissensions, the bank panic of 1873, and the corruption of his administration.
Philip H. Sheridan: American general in the Civil War. Graduated from the West Point Military Academy in 1853 and participated in skirmishes with Indians in California and Oregon.

Robert E. Lee: soldat professionnel et général de l’armée des États confédérés du sud de l’Amérique. Il devient capitaine de l’armée de Virginie du Nord entre 1862 et 1865 et commandant en chef des armées du Sud. Au cours de ce conflit, il a acquis une réputation de tacticien talentueux. Il était aimé de ses officiers et soldats et respecté de ses adversaires du Nord.
Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson : général des États confédérés d'Amérique durant la guerre de Sécession. Après ses nombreux succès au début de la guerre civile malgré une large infériorité numérique, Robert E. Lee lui fit confiance et lui donna un corps d'armée. Sa mort à la suite de la bataille de Chancellorsville marqua les forces sudistes, qui le considéraient comme un des meilleurs généraux des États Confédérés d'Amérique.
Stratford Hall : La plantation de Stratford Hall se situe dans le comté de Westmoreland, en Virginie, aux États-Unis. Elle fut la maison de quatre générations de la famille Lee et de personnages importants de l'histoire américaine (tels Richard Henry Lee et Francis Lightfoot Lee qui signèrent la Déclaration d'indépendance des États-Unis, ou encore le général Robert Lee, connu pour ses exploits lors de la guerre de Sécession).

Robert E. Lee: professional soldier and general of the army of the Confederate States of southern America. He became captain of the Army of Northern Virginia between 1862 and 1865 and commander-in-chief of the Southern Armies. During this conflict, he gained a reputation as a talented tactician. He was loved by his officers and soldiers and respected by his northern adversaries.
Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson: general of the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War. After his many successes at the beginning of the civil war despite a large numerical inferiority, Robert E. Lee trusted him and gave him an army corps. His death following the Battle of Chancellorsville marked the Southern forces, who considered him one of the best generals of the Confederate States of America.
Stratford Hall: The Stratford Hall plantation is located in Westmoreland County, Virginia, USA. It was home to four generations of the Lee family and important figures in American history (such as Richard Henry Lee and Francis Lightfoot Lee who signed the Declaration of Independence of the United States, or General Robert Lee, known for his exploits in the American Civil War).

F – West Point: L'Académie militaire de West Point, couramment abrégé en “USMA” ou “West Point”) est une base et une académie militaire de l'armée de terre américaine, une des écoles militaires les plus prestigieuses aux États-Unis avec celle de l'Académie navale d'Annapolis et l'Académie de la Force aérienne des États-Unis. West Point fut la première base militaire créée après la Déclaration d'Indépendance. Cette base fut placée sous le commandement de Benedict Arnold. L'académie militaire fut établie officiellement le 4 juillet 1802 par le Congrès américain. Elle est la plus vieille académie militaire des États-Unis.

It is the oldest military academy in the United States.
