The Amiga CD32 was the successor of the unsuccessful CDTV. Cntrary to the CDTV is a pure video game console. The CD32 was the first 32bit CD-Rom based video game console (Fift Generation). The unit was rather popular, but production stopped suddenly because of Commodore's bankrupcy in 1994.
