The Sega Dreamcast is a 128 bit console. It was first introduced in Japan (1998) and later (1999) in the USA and Europe. It was superior, but could never compete with the popular Playstation and N64. It was the first video game console with online features. About 10 million units were sold and production was discontinued in 2002. It was Sega’s last video game console. From then on Sega focused on the development of games.
